Trend Watch 2011: Diamond Halo Engagement Rings
When shopping for engagement rings, couples today are looking for styles that provide a unique twist on tradition and that reflect their personal tastes and romance.
One engagement ring trend for 2011 that is being requested more and more often at jewelers, and has been recently seen on celebrities, is a halo setting.
The unique style has the distinctive feature of a circle of diamonds, or a "halo" that appears to float around the center diamond. Not only do the extra diamonds add tons of sparkle, they can crate the impression of a larger center stone.

The True Value of Marriage
According to data released by the U.S. Census, for the first time since the government started tracking weddings in 1880, the proportion of people aged 25 to 34 who have never been married exceeded those of that age who were married.
While analysts say this is the result of a long term trend, they also say it is due to a faltering economy and the expenses associated with a wedding. But that's a very short term outlook.
There is an abundance of evidence that shows married couples live longer, earn more and are happier. So the real value of marriage far exceeds any potential costs.
